This half-day training session, led by Dave Blake of Kapasun Training and Development, supports school leaders to understand a school's roles and responsibilities relating to the Prevent Duty. Participants will learn how schools can respond to the idealogical threat of terrorism, and recognise and support children and families who are at risk of radicalisation in line with their statutory duty within the national Prevent strategy. 

Aspects covered in this half-day course include:

• what Prevent is
• different forms of extremism and terrorism
• be able to spot the signs that someone is being radicalised
• be able to share concerns, so individuals can be safeguarded
• the risk around radicalisation and your supportive role
• the interventions and support available
