These meetings for Reception and Nursery class teachers are arranged by year group, with Reception and Nursery teachers meeting separately, and are facilitated by experienced school leaders. They focus on developing understanding of age-related expectations and confident moderation skills that ensure schools are in line with each other, and with the national expectations for the EYFS.

Each session focusses on an area of the EYFS Framework. In addition, there is an overarching focus on Communication and Language, with each session beginning with a look at the expectations in this area of learning. 

Shared examples of work and films of children in action are provided in order to have focussed, meaningful conversations and to home moderation skills, which can then be applied during assessment at school.
